The property damage restoration specialist Polygonvatro relies on a new solution for bank communication. This not only increases efficiency in payment transactions, but also security.
Over the years, the strong growth of Polygonvatro, a specialist in restoration after fire and water damage, led to an exponential increase in the number of business partners and the need to constantly expand the accounting department. The company has around 60 branches in Germany, a customer center and a technical center, and employs around 1,500 people.
The company’s banking communications were previously handled outside of SAP. Payment media were prepared in SAP and additionally released and instructed for downstream payment via online banking. The process for the company’s manual online payments was not very transparent, inefficient and time-consuming.
In order to map the entire payment process efficiently, transparently and securely throughout, the new software solution Ltc|bank in SAP was introduced in SAP System. Usually, the software of the house bank is used for bank communication in many companies. However, the desired flexibility in payment transactions suffers due to the media discontinuity with the in-house ERP system. Intransparency in monitoring and security gaps are the result. In addition, support for many bank solutions is being phased out.
With the introduction of the new solution Ltc|bank in SAP, Polygonvatro was able to optimize payment processes. It has also significantly increased the security of payment transactions. Whoever introduces a new system should also take this opportunity to think about the existing processes and the possible improvements. At Polygonvatro, it was determined that certain functionalities that were useful for the company’s payment processes, were not pronounced in the SAP system. The necessary settings were made at the same time as the new system was introduced.
The fundamental decision in favour of the new solution was easy for Polygonvatro. In order for the downstream processes in the company to meet the growth targets in the future, the payment process had to be optimized.
Since everyone involved was aware of the need for sustainable optimization in terms of security, flexibility, transparency as well as efficiency in payment transactions, the decision-making process was completed within a few days. And since the employees were fully involved, the decision was also accepted by everyone from the very beginning.
After a final workshop and the go-live, Polygonvatro’s daily business could be immediately mapped and implemented without errors.
